THREAD FOR LUCA AND KEVIN'S SHENANIGANS!

aka. Movie Night and other stuff ;D

Kevin laid his back on the floor, slipping his shoes off with his toes. He glanced at his coffee table, now littered with empty chip bags, food containers and beer bottles. He really intended to clean that mess up but he and Luca had just finished emptying the cardboard boxes in his room for hours.

He closed his eyes in his slight inebriation and exhaustion, finally at ease.

Just five minutes.

With a stolen marshmallow bag in hand, Luca stood in front of Kevin's bedroom. He's tired as fuck; he didn't know that unpacking would take that long. The boxes looked small! He didn't know that it was possible to even fit that much stuff in the small thing.

All of Luca's stuff were all out within the first hour of his stay. Well yeah, his room is still a little messy, but at least he got the job done quick.

Luca lightly tapped the door, knowing that Kevin wouldn't appreciate any loud noises right now.

"Hey, Kevin, it's me~ I brought some marshmallows, just like I promised!"

[Herald]

It's not five minutes yet--

Kevin groaned at Luca's voice, rolling over to his side and staring at the door, wishing he could just burn an entry for Luca with his eyes.

I should consider adding an electrical mechanism some time.

While he did love the idea of having a movie date, his mind kept switching off into a lethargic default. It wasn't as if he could fall asleep at any second... Actually given enough time that would have been exactly the case.

Maybe I just need some tea. For all he knew, he wouldn't last through the movie right now. Getting up, he cleaned up his mess, throwing it into his trash can, before opening the door for Luca to come in.

"Hey, come in," he said hiding his tiredness with a smile. Looking at him, he thought that at most, there was a chance he would stay awake with this gorgeous man making his heart race faster than it had in a very long time.

Luca's smile faltered when he noticed the exhaustion radiating out of Kevin. The man's smile was as stunning as ever, but the Italian definitely saw fatigue in his eyes.

Of course he wanted to watch the movie and spend some time with Kevin, but he wouldn't want to keep him up just for Luca's selfish wishes.

"Hey, bello, you don't look so hot. We don't have to do this tonight, you know? You look like you need some rest right now."

[Herald]

Was it that obvious? Kevin raked his hand through his hair before stifling a small yawn. While his immediate reaction was to say yes, he latched onto Luca's wrist, pulling him inside.

"I'll be fine, it's just been slow today." Kevin insisted, closing the door, "I'll just grab some tea. Go get yourself ready."

[Plume]

"Alright then."

He allowed himself to be pulled into the room, and once he was alone, Luca dropped the marshmallow bag and sprinted for the cabinet.

His number one goal?

Tidy whities.

[Herald]

Kevin left his bedroom, taking his time to the kitchen to make himself a cup of black tea with milk. A sip of the warm drink down his throat did just the trick and he made his way back to his room.

"I'm back."

Entering his bedroom, his eyes immediately searched for Luca's whereabouts.

[Plume]

He was running out of time, and damn it all, he got distracted by the boxers! Luca quickly rummaged through the rest of the cabinet drawers until he found them, the briefs folded and stacked neatly in the bottom cabinet.

"Merde, why didn't he fix them up when I was here," he muttering in agony as he stuffed a clean pair into his pocket.

Luca quickly shut the cabinet, ran back to his abandoned bag of marshmallows and sat down on the bed.

Relief washed over him, until he heard the door open. Quickly, he opened up the bag, grabbed a handful and stuffed it in his mouth.

"W-Wewcub bag!"

[Herald]

The door clicked behind Kevin as he found Luca settled comfortably on his bed, stuffing his face with marshmellows even before the movie started.

Oh well.

He smiled at Luca's childish expression.

"Let's get started. You're going to love it."

He placed his cup of tea on his bedside before placing the Blu-ray into the player, starting up the film.

He quickly bounced onto the bed, seating himself to Luca's left.

He was only a hair away, goddamn. Kevin reminded that he did turn this into a date and casually slid his fingers across the bedlinen, hooking between Luca's left hand before pulling it into a gentle hold.

That was good enough for now. He didn't want Luca to absolutely lose attention to the film.

Luca smiled in return, swallowing the remaining marshmallows left in his mouth.

"Oh man, this is gonna be good! When underwater dinosaurs battle with fucking MECHS," he exclaimed, almost dropping the candy bag onto the floor. Luca caught it clumsily, sheepishly placing it back on his lap.

Once Kevin joined him on the bed, Luca decided to close the gap between them, pressing their hips together.

Watching the studio logos on the television screen, Luca's attention shifted to Kevin's hold on his hand. A soft expression graced the Italian's face.

Oh, man. This guy is really...

Slightly drunk on the affectionate gesture, Luca sighed and rested his head on the taller man's shoulder.

"You're such a fucking tease."

[Herald]

"That's not just the beginning about how amazing this film is. Not going to spoil you of course."

Luca closed in the distance and with Luca's head now rested on Kevin's shoulder, Kevin pressed a kiss on his crown of hair.

Mmm-- I love his smell.

The movie started to play, introducing Raleigh Becket and his brother.

"You make it real hard not to resist, you beautiful man," he muttered before turning his head back to the screen.

Not before grabbing for a marshmallow to pop into his mouth.

Luca cuddled up against Kevin some more, loving how affectionate Kevin was. Thank god they cleared things up fast.

"Oh fuck, I have a bad feeling about this."

The Becket brothers began to battle with the Kaiju. Everything was fine until the Kaiju tore up the Jaeger, Raleigh's brother along with it.

"OH FUCK!" Luca pulled his hand away from Kevin's grip, only to hug the man's arm. Christ, this was just the start of the goddamn movie, he didn't want to start the water works now!

[Herald]

Kevin clearly knew what was coming; and expectantly, he snuck glances towards Luca every so often, enjoying the looks on his face. However, he couldn't help but jolt at Luca's sudden change in grip.

He unabashedly laughed at him, before patting his hand in sympathy as they watched Rayleigh leave his Jaeger alone and in terrible shape.

"There there, you'll be okay."

[Plume]

"I thought this was just gonna be all about fighting and shit!" Luca frowned at the screen, watching the people building the damn Wall, which was definitely not going to save them. He relaxed his death grip on Kevin's arm and started to rub his bicep instead. Newbie really had great muscles, unf.

"Why the fuck are they wasting all of their resources on the Wall? Why can't they just use all of that for making new Jaegers?"

[Herald]

Wow, he's really invested in this. It's cute.

"Right? But that's what happens when people start losing hope," Kevin said a matter-of-factly, "it's a real shame. They know it's not a good solution." He imagined how people would have reacted if heroes were wiped from existence. That sent chills down his spine.

They continued their watch, as Pentecost pulled Raleigh from retirement. It was a generally quiet watch through the film on Kevin's end as he was pulled straight into the adventure and story.

Somewhere along the line, he manoeuvred his arm around Luca's waist, occasionally fiddling with the top hiding that hard muscle underneath.

[Plume]

"Mm, that's true. Sad, though."

Luca pressed his cheek against Kevin's shoulder, biting his cheek. He glanced at his waist, took Kevin's hand, and slid it into his shirt, sighing at the touch.

Might as well, right?

They watched in contented silence, except for Luca's sudden outbursts during the action scenes and Mako's bad-assery.

"KICK HIS ASS, MAKO!"

[Herald]

Oh god, his skin.

Kevin worried that his cold fingers would have shocked Luca for a moment, but his extremities quickly warmed up against his touch. Wrapping his hand around Luca's he comfortably stayed in position for the next half of the film. He laughed at Luca's expense... but soon he began silently tearing up in the final battle.

"Poor Pentecost," he whispered under his breath.

[Plume]

"NO! HOT DAD, YOU CAN'T FUCKING DO THIS TO ME! YOU CAN'T FUCKING DO THIS TO MAKO, YOU FUCK!"

Luca wiped his tears on Kevin's sleeve and threw the empty marshmallow bag on the floor. He stood up, a wave of emotion coursing through him as he started sobbing.

"I FUCKING HATE THIS GODDAMN MOVIE."

[Herald]

Not my shirt. I just cleaned it.

Nobody normally tampered with Kevin's shirts. He paid good money for quality and for a good five seconds all he could think about was the tears seeped through the cotton.

'At least it wasn't snot, ' he thought, as Luca got up and vented his frustration, "Even so, at least it was Luca."

Kevin stopped crying, wiping his own tears with his thumb as he smiled at Luca's crying.

He absolutely loved it.

His arms outstretched, he crossed his legs on his bed.

"Alright," he said, as the credits soon began to roll, "You need a hug."

[Plume]

Luca scrubbed at his eyes with his shirt and nodded dolefully. He straddled Kevin's hips and wrapped his arms him, burying his damp face into his neck. He sniffed, mumbling "poor Max and Mako" against the skin.

[Herald]

Kevin returned the hold, stroking Luca's back until he wrung out all of his tears.

"Are you alright now?" Kevin eventually pulled Luca from his neck to face him. (Man, he needed a shower after this.) His fingers carefully brushed stray hairs from Luca's face to see how he was doing.

"It was a good movie wasn't it?" He chuckled, pocketing out some tissues to wipe at the mess on his face.

[Plume]

"Fuck, sorry. Yeah, I'm alright. Slugger, I didn't expect the fucking movie to do this to me."

This was the first time he cried in front of somebody he just met. Christ, that was so uncool. Luca smiled and murmured a 'thank you' as Kevin wiped his face. He spared a glance at the other's shirt, now soiled with his tears. He winced and scratched his head.

"Oh, shit. Uh.. sorry about your shirt." He pointed at the large tear stain by on Kevin's shoulder.

[Herald]

Yeah, you better be sorry.

Scrunching the tissues and placing them aside, he looked over to his own shoulder, his shirt drenched in tears. He rolled his shoulder a bit, only to feel more uncomfortable with the cold water pressed against his skin.

Shut up about it, Kevin.

"...That's okay. As long as you're fine."

[Plume]

Luca gave him a small smile and patted Kevin's hair. (How did he manage to get his hair that soft?) He glanced at the clock hanging over the bed, and clucked his tongue. Slugger, his mom will be expecting a call from him soon.

"Right, think it's time for me to go."

Luca pulled away from the other man and gave his eyes one last swipe. He gently pulled Kevin up from the bed and planted a kiss on his cheek.

"Thank you, bello, for the last-minute date. I had fun, despite the tears."
